About the Conference
The 4th Chemical IP & Innovation Development Forum (CIPIDF 2026) took place on 26—28 August 2026 in Shanghai. Co-hosted by Zhichan Huicui and Zhiwen Consulting, the three-day programme brought together more than 40 speakers from chemical companies, Chinese and international law firms, patent agencies, courts and research institutes.
Under the theme "Practical Experience · Value · Globalization", more than 230 delegates from China and abroad gathered in Shanghai for intensive sessions on trade secret protection, patent enforcement and high-damage awards, compliance for outbound businesses, AI and IP operations, and patent strategy in agrochemicals and advanced materials.
The agenda moved day by day — Day 1 focused entirely on trade secret enforcement and governance, Day 2 extended into patent risk, overseas litigation, AI adoption and IP operations, and Day 3 closed with agrochemical FTO, the boundaries of polymorph patents and advanced-materials filing strategy, alongside three roundtable discussions and a cocktail reception.
