2023 China Medical Device IP Forum (1st Edition · Beijing)

On 11 July 2023, the China Medical Device IP Forum took place at the China International Exhibition Center (Jing'anzhuang) in Beijing as a flagship session of the Beijing Life & Health Cross-border Expo 2023. The forum was hosted by the World Life Science Conference Joint Organization and organised by Zhiwen Media and Zhichan Huicui, under the theme "IP Gathering, Protecting Innovation Together".

The forum brought together experts from industry, academia, research and clinical practice, alongside IP, patent and legal directors and managers from domestic and international medical device leaders, medical equipment, IVD, high-value and low-value consumables companies, as well as managing partners of law firms and IP agencies — advancing cooperation across China's medical device IP ecosystem and strengthening protection of innovation outcomes.

Eight sessions spanned overseas IP management and patent dispute response, Section 337 investigations, IP management for smart healthcare software, high-value patent mining and cultivation, legal essentials of licensing transactions, trademark and brand protection, and trade secret protection systems — closing with two panel discussions on how cooperation can unlock further value for the medical device IP ecosystem.
