2024 Medical IP Practice Training Programme (Session 2 · Shanghai)
About the Conference
About the Conference
On 30-31 May 2024, Session 2 of the Medical IP Practice Training Programme, jointly organised by the IP Practice Centre (BIPI) and Zhichan Huicui, was held at the Holiday Inn Shanghai Hongqiao West, with IP managers from pharmaceutical companies and legal practitioners in attendance.
Building on Session 1, this edition approached the subject from two directions — the macro institutional framework and the practical operation of specific rules. Experts, judges and lawyers with years of depth in pharmaceutical IP were invited to unpack the hot and difficult issues under the current regime and to offer workable approaches for biopharma companies.
Six instructors covered the influence of the US Hatch-Waxman Act on China's legislation, examination standards and judicial practice for supplementary experimental data, strategies and procedures for generic drug patent challenges, IP protection systems in biopharma companies, and a comparison of patent linkage rules across the Chinese mainland, Taiwan, China and the United States.
